International Missions Outreach Haiti
Throughout the entire year, NLT collects supplies to send over to the children of Haiti in shoeboxes. Suggested items for the shoeboxes are:
Hygiene items: toothbrush, toothpaste, mild soap bar (put in plastic bag), comb, bush, washcloth, shampoo, vitamins, band-aids, lotion etc.
Toys: small cars, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump rope, small etch-a-sketch, slinky, craft kits, costume jewelry etc.
Educational supplies: Pen, pencil and sharpener, ruler, crayons, markers, stamps with inkpads, paper, coloring book, solar calculator, glue, glue sticks, construction paper, stapler with staples etc.
Other: Hard candy, lollipops, mints, gum, individual packs of cookies, sunglasses, flashlight with batteries, baseball cap, socks, t-shirts, material with thread (to make clothing), hair barrettes, watches, bubbles. cold syrup etc.
Things NOT to send
Used or damaged items, war related toys (guns, knives, military figurines, weapons), mystical figurines (Yu-gi-oh, power rangers, pokemon, horned creatures, part-human part animal, or anything that might be mistaken as Voo-doo related), chocolate or any similar item that might melt, medication, breakable items (glass), aerosol cans…
